PlayStation Website Reportedly Hacked
Hackers have reportedly infiltrated Sony's U.S. PlayStation website in an undertake to gain credit tease selective information from unsuspecting users.
Sophos, a computer security and anti-virus companion, claims hackers bear inserted code into Sony's SingStar Pop and God of War pages on the PlayStation locate that display false messages telling users their computers receive been infected with spyware and viruses, and offering them a join to download "Antispyware" package.
Sophos said the intent is to scare users into buying "bogus" security software, but added, "It would be lilliputian for the hackers who compromised the webpages to alter the warhead so that information technology became more despiteful, and installed computer code planned to turn Windows PCs into a botnet or to harvesting confidential information from users."
